Capabilities
Parts, Weldments, and More
Since 1992, LCNW has been committed to leading in precision parts manufacturing. We do this by integrating advanced technology — from automated material handling to high-speed cutting systems — to streamline production and elevate quality.
Laser Cutting: Our high-power lasers can cut steel up to 1.75″ thick, and aluminum or stainless up to 1.5″, on sheets as large as 96″ x 240″. With automated handling, we maintain tight tolerances and handle high volumes with ease.
Bending: Our press brakes form light to heavy gauge material with precision and consistency. Backed by a deep tooling library and material expertise, we deliver clean, accurate results — getting parts right the first time, with no rework needed.
CNC Milling: CNC milling at LCNW delivers tight-tolerance, high-complexity parts with repeatable accuracy. We support both prototyping and large-scale production across a range of materials — always with efficiency, flexibility, and precision.
Welding: From laser welding to MIG and TIG, our team delivers precise, clean welds on steel, stainless, aluminum, and more. Our four robotic welders — including a 62-foot, three-cell system – provide quality throughput on high-volume and complex parts.
Finishing: From in-house finishing services such as deburring, edge breaking, and linear polishing to managing outsourced surface treatments and coatings, LCNW provides a true one-stop shop through our network of trusted finishing partners.
Assembly: We offer full assembly support — from mechanical fastening and labeling to complex subassemblies and kits boxed for distribution. Our team ensures your product is ready to use, saving time, reducing labor, and simplifying your workflow.

FAQs
Do you fabricate automotive metal parts in the USA?
Yes. Everything we fabricate is done right here in the U.S., with the ability to source materials that meet domestic requirements such as Buy American or DFARS when specified by contract. Mill Test Reports (MTRs) can be provided upon request to support material traceability.
What parts do you make for municipal vehicles?
Municipal vehicles often require custom brackets, mounting plates, seat reinforcements, and ballistic panel supports. These parts need to be strong, repeatable, and compatible with a wide range of vehicle models. We fabricate parts to exact spec—so they install cleanly and hold up under field use.
What parts do you make for law enforcement vehicles?
Police and security vehicles often require custom brackets, mounting plates, seat reinforcements, and ballistic panel supports. These parts need to be strong, repeatable, and compatible with a wide range of vehicle models. We fabricate parts to exact spec—so they install cleanly and hold up under field use.
Can you fabricate parts for commercial fleet upfits?
Yes. We produce sheet metal components, brackets, and enclosures for cargo systems, lighting mounts, racking, and more. Whether you’re outfitting service trucks, delivery vans, or public works fleets, we can supply scalable parts that help your team standardize installations across vehicle types.
Do you build off-road vehicle parts like skid plates and brackets?
We fabricate off-road components in aluminum and steel, including skid plates, mounting brackets, and structural supports. If you’re working on limited-production builds or small-batch upgrades, we can help with precision-cut, durable components ready for powder coating or field finishing.
What’s the best metal for automotive brackets or supports?
It depends on the application. Mild steel is strong, cost-effective, and easy to weld. Aluminum is lightweight and corrosion-resistant—great for fuel efficiency and off-road use. Stainless steel offers excellent durability in weather-exposed conditions, like utility fleets or snow and ice environments. We’ll cut and form to your spec.
Can I get custom powder-coated parts for vehicles?
Absolutely. We work with local finishing partners to offer powder coating, plating, and galvanizing services. For automotive parts, powder coating is a popular choice because it adds corrosion resistance and a clean finish without adding significant thickness. Just let us know the finish requirements in your drawing.
What file types are best for automotive metal fabrication?
We accept a wide range of file types—STEP, DXF, DWG, and solid models are ideal for accurate fabrication. If you’re working from a scanned or marked-up drawing, we can still review it, however, CAD files or 3D models–along with shop drawings–will be required for production.
How many parts do I need to order for a production run?
For automotive clients, we support everything from small-batch prototyping to high-volume production. If you’re ordering 50–100 parts regularly, we can help you scale without changing suppliers. And if you’re ramping up to thousands, we’ll dial in processes to keep quality and cost consistent.
What industries do you serve beyond off-road and fleet vehicles?
We fabricate for a wide range of transportation sectors—emergency services, agriculture, specialty trailers, EV retrofits, and more. If the part is metal and it moves, we can probably build it.
What should I include in automotive shop drawings?
The more detail you provide upfront, the smoother the process — and the better the outcome. To ensure accuracy and avoid delays, your shop drawing should include:
– Part name or drawing number
– Revision level
– Material type
– Dimensions and tolerances
– Hole placements and bend details
– Secondary processes (e.g., tapping, machining, countersinking)
– Weld symbols and locations
– Hardware callouts
– Bill of Materials (BOM) for assemblies
– Finish requirements (e.g., powder coating, plating)
– Notes or flags for any critical features or inspection points
What certifications matter in commercial fabrication (ISO, AWS, etc.)?
ISO 9001 is a key certification that signals consistent quality management across processes. All of our welding procedures and operator qualification follow AWS standards, ensuring consistent weld integrity - especially in structural, safety-critical, and code-compliant builds. It’s one of the reasons we’re an approved fabricator for city of Los Angeles.
At LCNW, we follow rigorous internal QA practices and are always seeking ways to improve. We take pride in catching non-conformances before they ever leave the building.
